How to save water.

In this section I’m going to be talking about some effortless ways to save water, because like I’ve said before it is very important to save water and there are so many ways to do it, so here are some examples:

  1. According to a website called EarthEasy.com,
to save more water, shave at the sink. Cutting shower time by just 1 or 2 minutes can save up to 150 gallons of water a month, according to the website
  2. For shaving, fill the sink half full, and use that water for rinsing the razor. If you do half-loads of laundry, you can waste up to 1,500 gallons of water a month
  3. When washing a car, rinse the car, then turn off the hose while you soap the car down. People who leave their hoses running can waste up to 150 gallons of water
People don’t think about how much water they waste every day.

how do people waste water?

People don’t think about how much water they waste every day. You can help save water by using it in the right way and paying attention to how and how you use your water. Notice what your activities are every day that wastes water, and try to change your lifestyle to save more water than you use.

Flush the toilette

Your toilet flushes away up to 4-6 gallons of water every time you flush. Americans tend to flush every time the toilet is used, which can waste hundreds of gallons. This sounds pretty gross in my opinion, but according to the website EarthEasy.com if it’s just urine, flush every two or three times to save water

Yard Work

Instead of spending water washing the driveway and sidewalk with a hose, sweep them instead. Sure, it takes a little bit more time, but you’ll also get more exercise and burn some calories and let’s be honest, we could all need that.

Showers

If you shower longer than 5 minutes, you’re wasting 6 to 10 gallons of water every extra minute, that’s insane.

Down the Drain

Leaving the water on while you brush our teeth can waste up to 4 gallons of water. The same goes for water wasted by leaving the water running while shaving.

Why do people waste water?

There´s something called “lack of water”, that´s when you don´t have access to clean water to do things you normally do like take long showers, wash your car, or flush the toilette when you require it.

People normally don´t realize how much water they really need, until they get the water turned off for one or two hours.

At the same time, in other parts of the world, people spend nearly they´re entire day searching for clean water and if they can’t find some for their family, they won´t have any water to drink, shower or cook food.

Each year, millions of people die from preventable diseases which are caused by a lack of contact with clean water.
